Configuration Settings
SongSync offers a variety of settings to customize your experience. You can access them by tapping the three-dot menu on the main screen and selecting "Settings".
Theme
- Pure Black Theme: When dark mode is enabled on your system, this option changes the default dark grey background to pure black, which is ideal for AMOLED/OLED screens.
- Disable Marquee Text: Disables the scrolling animation for long song titles and artist names in the song list, replacing it with an ellipsis (
...). - Show Song Path: When enabled, this displays the full file path for each song underneath its title and artist in the main list.
Lyrics Providers
These settings control how lyrics are fetched from the various online sources.
- Lyrics Provider: Choose your default provider from the dropdown list. For more details on each provider, see the Lyrics Providers guide.
- Include Translation: (Netease only) If available, this will include a translated version of the lyrics alongside the original.
- Include Romanization: (Netease only) If available, this includes a romanized (Latin alphabet) version of lyrics for languages like Japanese, Chinese, or Korean.
- Multi-person word by word: (Apple Music & QQ Music only) Enables a special format for word-by-word synced lyrics that distinguishes between different vocalists.
- Get Unsynced Lyrics: (Musixmatch only) If synced, time-coded lyrics are not found, this option allows SongSync to fall back and retrieve plain, unsynchronized lyrics.
File Handling
- Embed lyrics to file: Instead of creating a separate
.lrcfile, this option writes the lyrics directly into the audio file's metadata. Note that player support for embedded lyrics varies. - Offset mode: This changes how the timing offset is applied.
- Disabled (default): Adds an
[offset:...]tag to the.lrcfile. Player support for this tag varies. - Enabled: Directly modifies every timestamp in the
.lrcfile. This offers maximum compatibility but is a more destructive edit. - SD Card Path: (For Android 10 and below) If your music is on an external SD card, you must set the path to it here to allow SongSync to save
.lrcfiles.
Library Management
- Default Sort Order: Set the default sorting for your song list. You can choose to sort by Title, Artist, Album, and more, in either Ascending or Descending order.
