Mobile Toolbar

Commander provides advanced configuration options for the mobile toolbar (the row of icons above the on-screen keyboard).

Advanced Settings

Navigate to Settings > Commander > Mobile Toolbar (or Toolbar on Desktop) to access these settings.

Layout Configuration

  • Toolbar Row Count: Increase this to show multiple rows of commands at once (0-5 rows). Setting this to 0 hides the toolbar.
  • Column Layout: Switches the toolbar from a horizontal row to a vertical column layout.
  • Button Height/Width: Define the exact pixel size of the buttons (default 48px).
  • Toolbar Extra Spacing: Adjust spacing if your theme causes the toolbar to look cramped or if wrapping behavior is incorrect.
  • Bottom Offset: Adds spacing at the bottom of the screen. Useful if the toolbar is obscured by the iPhone home bar or Android navigation gestures.

Custom Icons for Existing Commands

Even for commands already in the toolbar (added by Obsidian or other plugins), you can use Commander to override their icons.

  1. Scroll to the Custom Icons section in the Toolbar settings.
  2. Find the command you want to change.
  3. Click the icon button to select a new Lucide icon.

Limitations

The Toolbar settings only affect the Mobile app. While you can configure them from the Desktop app, you will only see the results on your mobile device.
