Thumbnails

lightGallery Desktop includes a powerful and customizable thumbnail navigation system. All thumbnail settings can be configured via the Thumbnail option in the application menu.

General Thumbnail Settings

• Enable Thumbnails (thumbnail): This is the master switch to show or hide the entire thumbnail strip.

  • Default: true

• Animate Thumbnail (animateThumb): When enabled, the active thumbnail will smoothly slide into position as you navigate the gallery.

  • Default: true

• Toggle Thumbnail Button (toogleThumb): Shows or hides a button that allows you to manually collapse and expand the thumbnail bar.

  • Default: true

• Enable Thumbnail Drag (enableThumbDrag): Allows you to scroll through the thumbnail strip by clicking and dragging with the mouse.

  • Default: true

Sizing and Position

• Current Pager Position (currentPagerPosition): Determines the alignment of the currently selected thumbnail within the thumbnail bar.

  • Options: left, middle, right
  • Default: middle

• Thumbnail Width (thumbWidth): Adjusts the width of each individual thumbnail.

  • Range: 25px - 300px
  • Default: 100

• Thumbnail Container Height (thumbContHeight): Adjusts the height of the entire thumbnail bar.

  • Range: 25px - 300px
  • Default: 100

• Thumbnail Margin (thumbMargin): Sets the amount of space between each thumbnail.

  • Range: 2px - 100px
  • Default: 5
